Hours Before Start
Welcome to Saigon – officially known today as Ho Chi Minh City, the commercial center of Vietnam. With over nine million inhabitants and five million motorbikes, the city never sleeps.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your driver and tour guide, who will then transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Saigon.
Start your day with a half-day city tour of Saigon, including:
The War Remnants Museum, featuring powerful exhibitions of weapons and photographs from the Vietnam War.
The Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until 30 April 1975.
Nearby, discover iconic colonial-era landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, The Central Post Office, and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat).
After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Pleiku. Upon arrival, our team will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
Free time at leisure. Overnight in Pleiku.
After breakfast, depart from your hotel for a day trip to Kon Tum. En route, stop at:
Bien Ho (T’Nung Lake) – a former volcanic crater, often described as a “sea on the mountain”, surrounded by lush pine hills and known for its tranquil beauty.
Continue to Kon Tum to visit:
The nearly 100-year-old Wooden Catholic Church, an impressive blend of Roman architecture and stilt house design from the Ba Na ethnic minority. The wooden interior, decorated with brocades and traditional carvings, creates a unique and atmospheric space that reflects both European and local culture.
In the afternoon, visit a Jarai ethnic minority village to learn about their distinctive burial traditions. In this matriarchal society, members of the same maternal family are buried in a shared tomb. Grave houses are often surrounded by intricately carved wooden statues depicting daily life, animals, and even symbolic intimate scenes – a striking expression of their spiritual beliefs and cultural identity.
Enjoy scenic views along the Ho Chi Minh Road, with ample photo opportunities of farmlands and rural landscapes.
Return to Pleiku. Overnight at the hotel.
Today, travel south through the Central Highlands to Buon Ma Thuot, considered the coffee capital of Vietnam.
Enjoy the changing scenery of forested hills, rubber plantations, and coffee farms.
Upon arrival, have lunch at Trung Nguyen Coffee Village – a unique destination combining a café, museum, restaurant, and cultural center dedicated to Vietnamese coffee heritage.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Ethnographic Museum of Buon Ma Thuot, formerly the residence of Emperor Bao Dai, the last ruler of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Continue your journey to Lak Lake. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or resort and enjoy free time to relax.
Overnight at Lak Lake.
This morning, visit local ethnic minority villages near Lak Lake. Then enjoy a scenic dugout canoe ride on the lake – a vast, deep body of water connected to the Krong Ana River and surrounded by lush mountains and primeval forests.
After lunch, return to Buon Ma Thuot Airport for your flight back to Saigon. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight in Saigon.
After breakfast, enjoy your free time until you transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
